Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Parlaville ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
Description of Service
Parlaville is a coast of small towns, each with its own telenovela in its own language, told in one-minute episodes. Start in San Marcelo del Mar: Spanish for complete beginners, free to watch. AI tools help make the episodes, including the voices and parts of the scripts and pictures. You can use the Service without an account, and your progress is saved in your browser.
User Accounts
Registration
You do not need an account to use the Service. If accounts are offered and you create one, you must:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Be at least 13 years old
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
Use of AI
Parts of our episodes, including scripts, translations, glosses and audio, are made with the help of AI tools. Important disclaimers:
- Possible Mistakes: The language taught or the English in an episode may contain errors. If you spot one, write to [email protected] with the episode and the line, and we will review it.
- Learning Aid: The Service is meant to help you practise, not to replace a teacher, a course or a certified translation.
Corrections You Send
When you write to us about a mistake, you allow us to keep your message and to use it to correct or remove the episode.
Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Send us false, misleading or abusive messages
- Use the Service for fraud or deception
- Scrape, copy or re-publish our episodes, audio or video without permission
- Impersonate others
- Circumvent security features or rate limits
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use the Service in ways that could harm other users
Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of what you send us, such as corrections and other messages. By sending it, you grant us a limited license to use it for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
Our Service
The Service and its original content (excluding user content) are owned by Mitri Creative Inc. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our Service without permission.
Disclaimers
No Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
AI Limitations
Content made with AI tools may contain errors in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation or cultural usage. Treat the episodes as practice material and verify anything important. We are not responsible for any consequences of relying on that content without checking it.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MITRI CREATIVE INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mitri Creative Inc. from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or any content you submit.
Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of Ontario.
