Introduction

Mitri Creative Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") operates Parlaville and respects your privacy. This privacy policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, how we use it and how we protect it.

Parlaville teaches languages through one-minute telenovela episodes, starting with Spanish; an interactive version of each episode is coming. You do not need an account to use it. Accounts are optional and may be added later.

Information You Provide

• Your email address, when you ask us to write when a new episode is posted, together with the page you signed up on (and the campaign tag of the link that brought you there, if any), your browser's user agent and the referring page
• Messages you send us, such as corrections to an episode or support questions, and the email address you send them from
• Account information (name, email address), only if accounts are offered and you choose to create one

Information Kept in Your Browser

Phrases you save for review and your practice progress are kept in your browser's local storage, under a random device identifier. They are not tied to your name or email and are not sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes them.

Information Automatically Collected

• Analytics: the UTM tags on the link you arrived from, the pages and episodes you view and return visits
• Device information (browser type, operating system)
• IP address and general location data
• Cookies and similar technologies used by our analytics

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Email you when a new episode is posted, if you asked us to
• Answer your messages and fix the mistakes you report
• Understand which videos and links bring people to Parlaville and whether they return, so we can improve the episodes
• Keep the website running, and detect and prevent abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your email address for anything else, and we do not sell it.

AI Processing

We use AI tools to help make Parlaville's episodes, for example for the voices and for parts of the scripts and pictures. This happens before an episode is published, using our own material, not your data. We do not send your personal information to AI providers.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service Providers: companies that run parts of the service for us, under their own data protection terms: Convex (database and hosting), Cloudflare (delivers the website and protects it from abuse, which means it sees your IP address), Resend (email delivery), PostHog (product analytics) and Plausible (cookieless website analytics).
• Legal Requirements: when required by law or to protect our rights

When you watch our episodes on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or another platform, that platform's own privacy policy applies to what it collects.

Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to:

Data Retention

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep messages you send us for as long as we need them to answer and to fix what you report. Information kept in your browser stays there until you clear it. If accounts are offered and you delete yours, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we need to retain it for legal purposes.

We use cookies and similar browser storage to remember your device and preferences, and to analyze how our service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us.
